As a child, I was always trying to get someone to look at my swing. Full circle, my son does the same thing. As golfers, we are always searching for the next thing, so sometimes the best thing we can hear is some reassurance that we are on the right track.

Even now, I still look for the same thing when I get lessons or work on something. Recently, I have been doing a lot of work on launch monitors, and I’m amazed at how most golfers can’t bring the same type of game from the screen to the course or from the range to the course. I feel the answer is in between the ears, and that’s why this insight is named the way it is. A strong mental game and a bunch of reassurance from people you respect in the game make scoring and momentum easier.
